Professor Yelamanchi Nagaraja Rao has been acclaimed as one of the eminent Agricultural Scientists of India. He was the Professor and Head of the Department of Agricultural Physics at Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi. He was elected as the ‘Fellow of the Indian Society of Soil Science’ - a Special honour (2006) by Soil Conservation Society of India. He has also served in A.P. Agricultural University before joining the IARI. A Soil Physicist by training, Professor Y.N. Rao's contributed to the fields of soil and water conservation, alleviation of soil degradation, application of remote sensing for estimation of crop acreages and yield predictions in agriculture, estimation of soil moisture-salinity dynamics under microwave frequencies etc. |

After retirement from IARI in 1996, Professor Y. N. Rao is actively engaging himself in supporting the farming communities by contributing his precious knowledge and experience for improving the crop productivity and well-being of farmers.
He is the technical advisor and spirit behind the research programs of Sabasta set up for developing superior hybrids, sustainable agronomic practices and for safe-guarding the environment in the interest of farmers and the nation. |

| Dr. R. Gowri Shankar |

Dr. R. Gowri Shankar is the Managing Director & CEO of the Sabasta. He is a post-graduate in Genetics and Plant Breeding from the College of Agriculture (ANGRAU), Hyderabad. He obtained Ph.D. in Seed Science & Technology from IARI, New Delhi, the most reputed and flagship institute in the Agricultural education of India. He has a rich experience of more than 12 years in the areas of crop improvement, maintenance breeding, quality seed production and marketing. He worked with public sector (ICAR), and with private sector in various capacities as Scientist, Research Manager and Lead (Seed Quality Research), and Vice President (R&D). He has participated in several Private - Public Partnership initiatives. He has also got rich experience in Strategic
Planning & Management in Agri-Business with exposure to both Indian and international markets. His immense inputs are the drivers of R&D, production, quality control and marketing departments of Sabasta. |

Ms. Bharagavi Pagadala is the Research Consultant of Sabasta. Ms. Bhargavi is an agricultural graduate from coveted Agricultural College, Bapatla. Her previous experiences made her aware of various intricacies of seed industry. She has good understanding of applying various novel research technologies for developing more environment friendly and pro-farmer seeds. She has keen commitment for serving Indian farmers with quality seeds. Her services to Sabasta are aimed at setting Global standards in the Industry. |

| Dr. Muralidhar Metta |

Dr. Muralidhar Metta is the Consultant (Seed Quality & Biotechnology) of Sabasta and will be responsible for applying biotechnological principles for seed improvement. He is a veterinary post graduate with specialization in Animal Breeding and Genetics from the College of Veterinary Sciences, Hyderabad. He obtained Ph.D. from the Veterinary Medical University of Vienna, Austria. Currently, he is working as Project Leader at Animal Genomics Unit, University of Liége, Belgium. During his three years work experience at the Center for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), Hyderabad, he developed keen interest in application of molecular markers for genetic purity tests especially in hybrid basmati rice seeds. |

He possesses 8 years of rich research experience in the area of Biodiversity, Evolutionary Genetics, Molecular Genetics and Bioinformatics. He is a committed researcher and published six international research papers. His experience in the areas of molecular biology and bioinformatics will be an asset for Sabasta in applying biotechnological principles to maintain Seed Purity (establishing true-to-type), Marker Assisted Selection (MAS), Gene Discovery and Pyramiding, development of Transgenics etc. |
